Women’s Colleges are becoming the New College Cool! Discover for yourself why more and more college-bound high schools girls are saying “Yes” and choosing a women’s college. A good place to start is my blog. I’ve listed (and linked) all the women’s colleges in the United States and also provide additional information about the individual colleges for further exploration. Plus you’ll meet current students who share their college selection story and their reason for attending a women’s college.

Happy New Year!
My 2016 New Year’s resolution is to write about women’s college alumnae, specifically alumnae who majored in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and are enjoying a STEM career. The women I will feature are actively pursuing, established in, or retired from a STEM career.
To accomplish this goal, I’m taking a gap year from my daily blogging on Advantages of a Women’s College.
For the calendar year of 2016, come visit me on The Huffington Post. I’ve connected with some pretty amazing STEM alumnae from a variety of occupations in various industries whose career stories I’ll be sharing, and include so far the following:
Charlotte Brown, a Biology alumna from Saint Mary’s College - Aiding in Development of New Cancer Treatments
Alexis M. Scott, a math alumna from Spelman College - For Her Love of Mathematics
Evelyn B. Christensen, Ed.D., a Math alumna from Agnes Scott College - Award-Winning Educational Book Author
Karen M. Davis, a Math and English alumna from Cedar Crest College - Making a Difference via Computing Management
Lauren M. Schwartz, Ph.D., a Biology alumna from Sweet Briar College - Helping Farmers Increase Crop Production
Lucia Perez, a Astrophysics alumna from Wellesley College - Aspiring Astrophysicist
I’m excited about this new focus, and I’m looking forward to introducing you to talented and inspirational women.
Happy New Year, and I’ll see you back here in 2017!
